The function of the tensioning device is to keep the speed limiting wire rope in a tensioned state, ensuring that the wire rope rotates in line with the rotation state of the rope pulley, and also ensuring that the speed limiter can provide the necessary braking lifting force. It consists of a tensioning wheel, a bracket, a tensioning wheel switch, a counterweight or a spring, etc.

‌The main function of the elevator leveling sensor is to ensure that the elevator stops accurately at each floor, that is, leveling positioning. ‌It helps the elevator stop accurately when it reaches the specified floor by detecting the position of the elevator car in the shaft. The leveling sensor is usually installed on the top of the elevator car, and a leveling plate is installed at each floor station of the elevator shaft. When the elevator car enters the leveling area, the leveling sensor will detect the signal of the leveling plate, thereby controlling the elevator to stop accurately.

The main function of ARD (automatic rescue operating device for elevators, also known as the elevator power failure emergency leveling device) is that when the elevator encounters a power failure or power system failure during operation, it will automatically start working and supply the elevator with AC power. Relying on the original control system of the elevator, the elevator car will slowly run in the light load direction to the nearest station to level and open the door, allowing passengers to safely exit the elevator, thereby resolving the problem of passengers being trapped and improving elevator safety.

The pull rod of the instantaneous safety clamp is connected to the wire rope of the speed limiter. Under normal circumstances, since the tension of the pull rod spring is greater than the tension of the wire rope of the speed limiter, the safety clamp is in a static state, and a constant gap (usually 2-3mm) is maintained between the wedge and the guide rail. When the elevator fails, the car drops rapidly, causing the speed limiter to operate, driving the connecting rod system, and then the wedge of the safety clamp is lifted up, clamping the car on the guide rail. Obviously, the stopping speed of this safety clamp is very fast, and the stopping distance is also very short (from the speed limiter clamping the wire rope to the safety clamp wedge clamping the guide rail, the distance between the car and the car is generally only a few centimeters to more than ten centimeters). Therefore, it is extremely easy to cause large vibrations, bumps and impacts to the car and the people or objects on board. Not only that, the damage to the guide rail is also very large, so it cannot be used for high-speed elevators, but mostly used for low-speed elevators.

The safety clamp is a safety device that stops the car and clamps it on the guide rail when the speed of the elevator exceeds the speed set by the speed limiter or when the wire rope breaks or loosens. It provides effective protection for the safe operation of the elevator.

The buffer is an elevator safety device that provides the last kind of safety protection. The speed limiter is generally located on the floor slab in the elevator machine room, but it can also be directly installed on the load-bearing beam. The elevator inspection box is used to switch the elevator between normal and inspection mode.
