KONE Original MX10 elevator traction machine

A gearless elevator traction machine is a direct-drive elevator motor system that uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) to drive the traction sheave directly without a gearbox. It is widely used in modern passenger elevators due to its high efficiency, smooth operation, low noise, and reliable performance. For elevator modernization projects, replacing old geared traction machines with gearless traction machines is an effective way to improve elevator performance while extending the service life of existing elevator systems.

A gearless traction machine is an ideal upgrade solution for aging elevators because it can significantly improve the performance of existing systems. During elevator modernization, upgrading the traction machine can help achieve: Higher energy efficiency, Better riding comfort, Lower operating noise, Improved leveling accuracy, Reduced maintenance requirements, Extended elevator service life

Yes. A gearless traction machine can be used as a replacement solution during elevator modernization. Before replacement, engineers need to confirm key parameters including: Rated load, Rated speed, Motor power, Sheave diameter, Rope specification, Suspension ratio, Brake configuration, Installation dimensions Selecting the correct model ensures compatibility with the existing elevator system.

Gearless traction machines are commonly used for modernization of: Passenger elevators, Residential elevators, Commercial building elevators, Hotel elevators, Hospital elevators, High-rise building elevators They are suitable for replacing outdated traction systems and upgrading elevator operating performance.

After modernization, elevators can achieve: Smoother starting and stopping, More accurate floor leveling, Reduced vibration, Lower running noise, Better energy efficiency, More stable operation, These improvements provide passengers with a safer and more comfortable riding experience.

Please provide the existing elevator technical information, including traction machine model, elevator speed, load capacity, and installation requirements. Professional technical evaluation can help select the appropriate traction machine solution for your elevator modernization project.
